Jaren Dahlstrom began his studies in art at the age of 12 with Boyd Allen. In college he studied with Dave Simpson, John Battenberg and Mel Ramos while attending Contra Costa College, Art Center College of Design, California College of Arts and Crafts and Hayward State University. He has an international reputation as a graphic designer and taught design for 24 years at the University of California, Berkeley. He has had a one man show at the Villa Montalvo Art Center and several group shows including the Richmond Art Center, Cal Expo, Silver Mine Gallery, Palo Verde Art Museum and the Oakland Museum. His work appears in collections in the United States and Europe, including the collection of the late writer Anais Nin. Jaren is actively seeking gallery and dealer representation, as well as inquiries from interested collectors. He is available for portrait commissions, as well as creating a unique indoor or outdoor sculpture that will make a powerful statement for an entry or garden.
